Award-Winning Kent Funeral Celebrant
As an award-winning Kent Funeral Celebrant, I help families create personal funerals, Celebrations of Life and memorial ceremonies. Each one genuinely reflects the person they knew and loved.
When someone dies, it is easy to assume there is a set way a funeral has to be done. There isn’t. Families have choices about where the ceremony takes place, who leads it and what it includes. Most importantly, you can decide how you want to remember and celebrate that person’s life.
I conduct ceremonies at crematoriums, cemeteries, natural burial grounds and funeral directors’ chapels. A funeral or Celebration of Life can also take place at an alternative venue. Memorials and ashes ceremonies offer further ways to bring people together and remember someone after they have died.
Every ceremony starts with a conversation. I spend time talking with family and, where appropriate, friends. I listen to the stories, memories and little details that help me understand the person behind the name.
There can be reflection and sadness, of course, but also warmth, personality and gentle humour where it feels right. A funeral does not have to be relentlessly sombre to be respectful.

My Role As Your Funeral Celebrant
My role is to help you create a funeral or Celebration of Life that feels appropriate for you and the person you are remembering.
Communication is one of my strengths. I will keep in touch throughout the planning and help you choose readings, music and other elements. I can write the ceremony and eulogy, as well as liaise with your funeral director where needed.
On the day, I will be there to calmly guide everyone through the ceremony.
As an experienced funeral celebrant in Kent, I regularly work across Ashford, Tenterden, Maidstone, West Malling and Sevenoaks. I also cover Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Faversham and the surrounding areas, and am happy to travel further afield.

Justine did a superb job at the funeral of my dad at Kent & Sussex crem in Tunbridge Wells last week. My step mother had provided the main points of his life, together with some fond memories and anecdotes gathered from me and my two brothers.
